Katie Kuisle, AIA, LEED BD+C
Director
Katie is an architect who believes the most sustainable way to build is not to build. Extending the useful life of buildings which are already integrated into the cultural fabric and public infrastructure is one of the most important challenges of our time. Existing buildings have so much latent potential. As we evolve to a more circular economy, building and building material reuse will continue to rise in popular practice.
After 15 years working in some of the Twin Cities' most prominent firms, Katie has demonstrated expertise in adaptive reuse projects. Her experience focuses on the reinvigoration of cultural landmarks to meet modern functionality while significantly reducing environmental impact through increased operational efficiency. An active member of the Carbon Leadership Forum and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Katie is committed to driving forward-thinking initiatives that shape industry standards for adaptive reuse.
