Tom McGrath
Associate Director
Tom brings extensive experience in research and writing, balancing readability for the layperson while informing technical audiences in the preservation field. Tom’s current specialty is physical documentation in both digital and film formats, which combines perfectly with the documentation of historic buildings. This expertise provides a critical eye during the assessment of historical building conditions and whole-project communication. Tom’s ability to synthesize complex and diverse material has been evident in the work with Usinger’s Famous Sausage Company, where it was necessary to integrate research notes from others, site visits, condition assessment, and a narrative of sausage-making into Parts 1 and 2 of the Federal Historic Tax Credit application.
